Positivity = Productivity
Given the current climate that the world is in, there is a lot of negativity circulating in our realm of thought right now - whether it be from listening to the news or being told that we have to be apart from our loved ones until further notice. Social distancing regulations causing many non-essential businesses to temporarily close or work remotely has inevitably led to many people feeling isolated.
It can truly be difficult to keep a positive mindset during these trying times and not get stuck in a loop of the Monday Blues all week, especially while working from home. How is it possible to stay positive amidst everything that is going on around us?
Here is some advice from the Diversified Staff on how to keep a positive mindset in order to be productive:
Set some time aside for prayer or gratitude in the morning. Kick-off your daily routine by embracing your "why" and take a moment to remind yourself of everything that you are grateful for. This will allow you to direct your thinking towards the things that bring you happiness and remember what exactly makes everything worth it. Each morning, Diversified agent Michael ends our video meeting in prayer to send us off for our day.
Jam out to some music! Putting on some happy tunes definitely "makes the mood," as Diversified employee Tracy says. Playing some songs that make you feel good during your workday will definitely keep you in a better mood than working in complete silence. Spotify even offers a public playlist called Deep Focus if you prefer to listen to something a little more downtempo during your workday.
Perspective is everything. Maintain a well-grounded and realistic perspective, and do your best to keep it that way. Keeping a mindful perspective will allow you to see that whatever hard day or challenge you are going through, there is someone out there that is dealing with something twice as hard and is thriving. More often than that, you will find that changing your perspective changes your experience.
Surround yourself with people who bring light into your life. Limiting the negativity that you CAN control in your own life will contribute to your overall mindset. You don't want negative people surrounding you because at the end of the day, you are who you walk with. Surrounding yourself with people who provide encouragement and lift you up during your day to day will bring a sense of clarity into your thought process. Here at Diversified, the execs constantly strive to recognize achievements and provide encouragement on a daily basis.
Feed your mind full of positive things. Your mind will always believe everything you tell it, so the more you feed your mind with positive thoughts, the more you attract great things to happen. Even if you can't manifest these kinds of thoughts on your own, today's technology has resources that anyone has access to. We asked Diversified's agents what they enjoy listening to for motivation, and agent Andrew R. says that he uses Audible to listen to positive audiobooks. Agent Joe N. says he enjoys watching motivational clips from the movie The Wolf of Wallstreet to keep his mindset in check as it helps him continue to envision his goals.
It's no secret that maintaining a positive mindset will boost productivity - positive thinking on a regular basis results in increased productivity, and therefore more success. We hope you use some of these tips in your daily life to keep the positivity flowing and your mind on track the track to success. After all, "this too shall pass."
As we always say here at Diversified, "Keep smiling and dialing!"
